How to access Navionics charts and features on Raymarine Lighthouse 2 Plotters

Plotter Software
IMPORTANT: Plotter manufacturer’s latest software updates required.
Check your plotter’s software under Setup > Maintenance > Diagnostics > Select Device > This Device.
Current chart plotter/sounder software update versions
DO NOT USE YOUR NAVIONICS CARD TO UPDATE YOUR PLOTTER SOFTWARE OR HAVE IT IN YOUR POTTER WHEN YOU UPDATE!

Chart Layers
Make your chart selections under Menu > Presentation > Chart Selection
Nautical Chart – official charting detail
SonarChart™ – high-definition bottom contour detail

Navionics Recommended Chart Settings
Chart Detail (Detailed) – Menu > Presentation
Show Soundings (All) – Menu > Presentation > Depths & Contours
Show Contours (All) – Menu > Presentation > Depths & Contours

Chart Objects – From Menu > Presentation > Objects:
Nav Marks (On), Caution Areas (On), Marine Features (On), Land Features (On), Business Services (On), Panoramic Photos (On), Additional Wrecks (On), Colored Seabed Areas (On)

Optional Chart Settings/Features:
Shading (On/Off) – Gives maps a textured view – Menu > Presentation > Overlays
Easy View (On/Off) – Text and icon magnifying feature – Menu > Presentation > View & Motion
[Navionics] Community Edits (On/Off) – Menu > Presentation > Overlays

Navionics Features available with Platinum Products
Satellite Overlay with SonarChart Shading, Relief Shading or Sonar Imagery
Menu > Presentation > Overlays:  Photo Overlay (On Land and Sea)
Opacity: 100% = Full Overlay (harder to see chart details) or 0% = Less Overlay (harder to see overlay details)

Panoramic Photos
Target a camera icon using your cursor and select Photo from the context menu.
3D View
Menu > Presentation > View & Motion > Chart View (2D/3D)

Allows for a three-dimensional view of water contours with the ability to pan and rotate the chart information at different angles.

Navionics Advanced Features
Advanced Features are included with an active subscription for updates on your chart plotter card. Not all features are available for all models. See our Compatibility Guide for the most current information.

Menu > Presentation > Advanced Options:
SonarChart Density – density of contours displayed on SonarChart layer
Fishing Range – select a range of depths to fill with a different color
Shallow Water Highlight – highlights shallow water between 0 and up to 10m/30ft

SonarChart Live
Ensure Sonar Logs is switched On: Menu > Presentation > Depths & Contours > Sonar Logs

Menu > Presentation > Advanced Options:
Switch On Tide Correction
Opacity – Min = Full Overlay (harder to see chart details) or Max = Less Overlay (harder to see overlay details)

Dock-to-dock Autorouting
Before using, from your Home screen go to Customize to enter your Boat Settings.

1.  Select Build Route from the chart context menu or the Navigate menu.
     The Build Route menu is displayed.
2.  Select Dock-to-dock Autorouting so that On is selected.
3.  Select the position on the Chart where you want the route or route leg to start.
4.  Select the position of the Chart where you want the route or route leg to end.
     The system will try to automatically calculate the shortest safe route between the 2 points.
     If the automatic route generation completes successfully the calculated route is displayed.
5.  Subsequent route legs can be added by selecting the desired location on the chart.
6.  When your route is complete select Finish Build.
     The Finish Route Build warning is displayed.

7.  Follow = Immediately start following the generated route.
     Edit = Display the route in the Route List.
     Exit = Complete the route and close the Build Route menu.
Note: Dock-to-dock Autorouting will not create a route when the start or end point is in an unsafe area (such as on land).

Plotter Sync
Plotter Sync allows you to transfer routes & markers and update charts on your plotter card from the Boating app on a mobile device.
