Chart Viewer - Creating and Editing a Route

To create a Route using Dock-to-dock Autorouting:
1.  Select Route > Automatic
2.  Enter your Start point using one of these methods:
a.  Click on the Start box to search by Category or by entering a search term
b.  Click a point on the map to create your Start point
3.  Enter your End point using one of these methods:
a.  Click on the End box to search by Category or by entering a search term
b.  Click a point on the map to create your End point

Once both points are selected, the Route will be planned automatically.

You can add or move route points at any time while the route is active by clicking on the route line to create a new point and drag it to the position you want it. You can also delete points by clicking on one and selecting “Delete Waypoint”.

Notes:
■  If your Route indicates "Route too long", then you may need to adjust your End point a bit
closer to your initial Start point.
■  When syncing Routes to the mobile app on iOS devices there is a limitation of 200 route points.
This means if the route you have created in the Chart Viewer is long, the entire route will only
display partially within the mobile app when synced.

To create a Manual Route:
1.  Select Route > Manual

2.  Click on the map to add individual points to your route

You can add or move route points at any time while the route is active by clicking on the route line to create a new point and drag it to the position you want it. You can also delete points by clicking on one and selecting “Delete Waypoint”.

Once you have created your Route:
Click the "Save" button to save your Route to your archive.
Click Route > Stop to exit out of your current Route.

If you are logged into the website, saved Routes will automatically be synced to your account for access in your Routes Archive. If you are also logged into the Navionics Boating app, the same Routes will be available in your app's Route Archive and vice versa.

Editing a Route
Click Route > Edit to edit the current Route displayed.
Select Automatic or Manual.

Click on the Route line to add an additional point and drag it to your desired location or drag an existing point to a new location.
For Automatic edits, the route will automatically be adjusted to take in this change. For Manual edits, only the one point will be adjusted.

To save your changes click "Save".

Reversing your Current Route:
To reverse your current Route, click Route > Reverse. This will swap your Start and End points.
